Bein Earth is San Diego nonprofit organization we offer education, health and advocacy for wellness and welfare of local communities. The purpose of our programs and services are to counter responding to climate change.
Mission
Bein Earth's mission is to promote our human civilization, to improve skills, education, health and advocacy to enhance communities survival and prosperity. Our main goal is to focus on climate change awareness and local community development by creating tools to educate community members about climate change and environmental justice, to allow individuals to learn and explore about climate change impact on environment and to increase individual critical thinking.
Vision
Bein Earth's vision is to build sustainable communities that have the right to environmental and climate change protections and benefits, as well as meaningful involvement in the policies that shape their communities. Additionally, we strive for individuals to be part of the solution locally and globally.

President: Shakur Elmi
My name is Shakur Elmi the Co-founder and President of BeiNEarth Inc. and a student of Sustainable Urban Agriculture.
We have all heard or used the expression “think globally and act locally”. We can debate or have different opinions of what is causing climate change but the fact is climate change is here and it’s happening.
In 2020 I traveled from San Diego, California to visit East Africa where climate change is devastating the ecology system. People, societies, cultures and economies are affected by severe drought, floods, extreme heat and etc. According to climate.org In 2023, the United States experienced 28 separate weather and climate disasters.
Meanwhile, my local communities in San Diego California, I have witnessed 01/22/2024 extreme rainfall caused record flooding, “facing the mess in person” I call it.
This reminds me of Active Hope “How to face the mess we’re in without going crazy” authored by Chris Johnstone and Joanna Macy.
The question is what can we do as communities? Please join us here at BeiNEarth Inc. we are dedicated to do our part serving Planet Earth, by climate change awareness and community developments.
